Rachel trained at Clydebank College where she achieved an A grade in HND Make Up Artistry. Since graduating, she has continued her education, taking courses at Shaune Harrison Academy, Creative Media Skills and Training Solutions in Hair. She is experienced in all aspects of makeup artistry, from bridal to prosthetic makeup.

Rachel is represented by Superior Model Management and has been published in multiple fashion magazines including DRECK, NU-Mode, Slave and Style Noir. Her work was featured in a Welcome to Scotland campaign displayed in Scottish airports. She has worked on numerous short films including Bryan M. Ferguson's critically acclaimed Flamingo; and Porphyria and Close Encounters which were both screened at Cannes Short Film Festival. She has worked extensively with Screen Academy Scotland students on their BA Film Graduation shorts. She worked as a wig assistant for the National Theatre of Scotland's James Trilogy and has completed runs with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow Musical Theatre and  UK Theatre School. Most recently she has been working with Edinburgh University Make Up and Special Effects Society providing tutorials in different fields of makeup.

Rachel is the head makeup artist for Edinburgh College of Art Performance Costume 4th year show and was Edinburgh Regional Coordinator for Look Good Feel Better, the beauty industry's charity for women and girls undergoing cancer treatment.
